Formed in July 2005, Surgery Holdings Ltd is an independent group owned by NHS consultant surgeons.
Surgery Holdings, through its subsidiary companies provides surgical and other medical services to patients under major contracts with Primary Care Trusts, NHS Trusts, Strategic Health Authorities, Independent Hospitals and Healthcare Insurers. Originally Surgery Holdings was established in response to the National (Department of Health) Agenda to provide choice for patients. As the company has developed our offering has expanded to include patients who wish to exercise a choice of provider irrespective of how the procedure is paid for. Surgery Holdings is also able to support patients who hold medical insurance and those who wish to fund their own care.
Surgery Holdings does not provide hospital facilities or other staff directly involved in the patient care pathway, such as nurses, and therefore works in conjunction with hospitals to provide its services. The Group contracts with consultant surgeons (to date these have all been NHS consultants) to provide its services.
